New Creative Hub:
Red Tail Beer & Wine Bar at 992 Market
The Market Street Arts Creative Hubs program activates new and underutilized spaces for artists, designers, and entrepreneurs along Market Street.
The Red Tail, an acclaimed craft beer and wine bar, is now in Mid Market, opening their second location in a previously vacant space at 992 Market Street. As part of the Market Street Arts creative hubs initiative, this new partnership brings an exciting addition to the neighborhood’s dynamic nightlife scene.
Founded by Conner Frederick, Ben Sapone, and Wesley Wakeford, The Red Tail has become a central place for the Inner Sunset community. Since opening in 2021, The Red Tail has become a neighborhood staple for forming deeper bonds and building community over hand-selected wine and uniquely brewed craft beers. The team is excited to extend this ethos into the heart of San Francisco.
“With a unique mix of theaters, hotels, residences, shops and nightlife, Mid Market is the perfect place for us to expand, opening a space that will be utilized as a hub for residents and visitors alike,” said Wakeford. “Through our partnership with Market Street Arts, we have the opportunity to focus on building on the expansive offerings in the neighborhood, while strengthening community in the heart of the City.”
Market Street Arts’ Creative Hub program has also partnered with Julian Dash Prince to open Holy Stitch! located at 1059 Market, and most recently, the Living Earth Show to launch Roar Shack Live! at 34 7th Street.
